About the Amoebas

Mod 1: Radioactive
  • Name(s): Ari, Bess
  • Queer identities:
    • Gender: genderfluid, genderqueer, nonbinary (genderqueer and nonbinary basically mean the same thing, and are umbrella terms; genderfluid falls under that umbrella)
    • Sexuality: gray-pansexual, gray-bisexual
    • Romantic orientation: gray-biromantic
  • Age: 17
  • Gender expression: androgynous, fluid
  • Pronouns: Any will be fine (except it/its/its). I'd prefer they/them/their, but will also not be angry if you use she/her/hers as long as you don't use any other female-coded terms for me without my consent; they can trigger dysphoria
  • Location: southeast Michigan
  • Interests: religion, reading, writing, mythology, hiking, knitting, feminism, meditation, music, zumba, crocheting, cooking
  • Religion: Henotheistic eclectic pagan. I'm also technically agnostic, only because I admit that I could be wrong. But that's just logic, you know?
  • Privileges I have: white privilege, class privilege, citizenship privilege, thin privilege, monogamous privilege, dyadic privilege
  • Privileges I don't have: straight privilege, cis privilege, neurotypical privilege, male privilege, able-bodied privilege, Christian privilege
  • Goal in life: I keep changing my mind about what I want to do when I grow up, but working as a librarian sounds pretty nice. Also, to acquire the following: a queerplatonic life partner, an actual binder that actually works because homemade ones are atrocious, a breast reduction, and two cats that I will name Malcolm, Sylvia, Marsha, Alice, Nat, Audre, Laverne, Maya, Frida, or Janet.
  • Disabilities: professionally diagnosed ADHD; I also display symptoms of hypoglycemia and autism but have not been officially diagnosed with either (although my physician has talked of getting me a therapist to diagnose my autism)
  • Race: white
  • Tumblr: My Tumblr blog is named Best Day of My Life, after the American Authors song, and my screen name is littlequeeroutlaw. It's mostly feminist stuff, plus queer humor, geek humor, memes, GIFs, and headcanons. My feminism prioritizes queer women, trans people, and disabled people, because those are all areas I have a lot of experience with, so you'll see a lot of that.

Tumblr: There's my reblogging blog, alwaysmycandy.tumblr.com, where one can find feminism or other funny things I've reblogged. Also my mental health blog, totallyfancygoatee.tumblr.com, which is not a blog about mental health but is instead a blog I use to decompress when overwhelmed by what goes on in my other blog. I only post things I made myself and interesting art references there.

When I randomly decided to translate this into other languages, I noticed that in a lot of languages 'sex' and 'gender' are the same word - and even in English-speaking countries, a lot of people don't know the difference. So I'll clarify. 'Sex' is the way you're born, what parts you have. 'Gender' is the way you identify mentally and emotionally.
